About
Tools that just work
Handiwork is a growing collection of free, browser-based utilities for everyday tasks — built for speed, clarity, and the open web.
Our mission
We believe useful software should be free, fast, and available to anyone with a browser. Handiwork puts practical tools in one reliable place — no account required, no paywalls, and no unnecessary friction between you and the job you need to finish.
What we offer

Each tool is focused on doing one job well, with clear inputs, immediate results, and helpful guidance on the page when you need it.

Privacy by design
Wherever possible, our tools process your input locally in your browser. Text you paste into a word counter, data you convert, or calculations you run are not sent to our servers for those features to work. We build that way because your work is yours — and because it keeps the experience fast.
Who builds Handiwork
Handiwork
Independent publisher
Handiwork is independently built and maintained. Every tool and guide is tested, documented, and periodically reviewed for accuracy. Review dates indicate when the implementation, examples, limitations, and visible claims were checked; they are not automatic publication timestamps.
Questions and corrections can be sent to hello@handiwork.tools or through the contact form.
How we review what we publish
Handiwork is independently built and maintained. Tool behavior and the claims around it are reviewed together, assumptions and limitations are documented for consequential results, and pages link to primary standards or public-agency guidance where the topic calls for it. Sources support the stated method; they do not imply that an outside organization endorses Handiwork.
Read our editorial and tool standards or explore the longer explanations in our practical guides.
Like most websites, we use cookies and collect technical and usage information — including through analytics and advertising partners — to operate and improve the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Built for everyone
We care about accessible interfaces — proper labels, keyboard-friendly controls, and screen-reader support where it matters. Tools should be usable on a phone, a laptop, or whatever you have at hand, without installing software or creating an account.
What's next
We add new tools regularly and refine the ones already here. Have an idea or spotted something we can improve? Reach out through our contact page— we read every message.
